There will be plenty of free time to explore the local area, make a stop at Christian Clay Winery, go for a drive in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, or just pick a cozy spot in the lodge and crochet by the fireplace or outside by the lake. There's lots to do in the area! The front desk is available to assist guests with directions for white water rafting in Ohiopyle State Park, caving at Laurel Caverns, tours of Fallingwater or Kentuck Knob, and dining at the Historical Stone House Restaurant.

Located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands along Route 40, the National Highway, The Lodge sits on 37-acres. The rooms each have their very own private deck. Guests have lakeside access to 7-acre Lake Lenore, a walking/bike trail, outdoor pavilions, grills, and firepits near each building. Guests are welcome to all these amenities during their visit! Speak to the front desk for more details.
Our featured professor for this session will be Keri Fosbrink, owner of Youghiogheny Yarns. She'll be guiding you through (2) three-hour class sessions.

There are a limited number spots available for this retreat session!

Students are responsible for booking their own room for the retreat.
Please call The Lodge at Chalkhill to reserve your room using code Knit Session 102. The room total with taxes for the weekend is estimated at $285.00. It is recommended to have 2 people to a room because the beds are mainly full size, not queen.
Phone number: 724-438-8880

Students will have 72 hours to make their reservation once they pay their retreat booking fee. Any student who fails to reserve their room will have their acceptance revoked. All booking fees are non-refundable.
If you are sharing your accommodations, you will need to have your roommate purchase separately. Make sure to add the information about your party (roommate names) in the appropriate fields on the retreat application form and to your reservation. We do not match roommates.

A credit card will be required at check in for any room incidentals.

Your second payment will be due by July 1, and final payment will be due by September 1. Failure to pay balances will result in cancelation of your registration. You will receive an invoice for each payment. Please make sure we have the correct email address associated with your booking.

If spaces sell out, you can request to be added to a waitlist. In the event a spot opens up, you will be notified.

Can I participate in the retreat and not stay at your venue?
No. We ask that all participants stay at the venue for the duration of the retreat. It's impossible to enjoy the retreat experience without full participation.

Refund and cancellation policy:
We recognize that everyone has health or family emergencies and may have to cancel their participation for the retreat. But the new reality in the hospitality industry is that most retreat venues and hotels require a firm rooming list and full payment for all rooms and meals prior to an event for meal planning and staff scheduling. If you cancel before the deadline, and you paid in full, you will receive a full refund minus the $250 booking fee. No refund will be given after the deadline.

Retreat COVID-19 Policy
To ensure the health, safety and comfort of our retreaters, we ask that retreat attendees not attend if they feel sick and strongly recommend testing for COVID-19 one day prior to traveling. We will have some masks on hand, but ask that attendees bring their own well-fitting surgical, KN95 or N95 masks if they prefer to wear one when in close proximity to others.

Please note that these recommendations may be subject to change based on local/national regulations or recommendations at the time of the event.
